Sex & Relationship Education Consultation feedback

Dear Parents, Carers, Governors and staff

We recently sent out a consultation regarding the Sewell Park Academy Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum as part of the statutory guidelines for schools. Thank you to all who took the time to read, consider and feedback their views.

The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive. Many respondents emphasised the importance of teaching consent and healthy relationships, with some others mentioning the general principle of respect which is emphasised in all units.

As a school, we will consider the feedback carefully and ensure that any adaptations are made in line with thoughts, viewpoints and best practice of RSE teaching. I would like to thank Mr Spicer, Head of RE & PSHE for his effort and careful design and consideration of this key curriculum aspect at Sewell Park.
