Strike Action - Wednesday 1st February 2023

Dear Parent/Carer,

STRIKE ACTION - WEDNESDAY 1ST FEBRUARY 2023

Further to the communication you received on 17th January 2023 regarding the forthcoming strike action, I can now confirm that Sewell Park Academy will be closed to all pupils except those identified as being vulnerable and those in Year 11.

If your child is in one of these groups you have been sent further communication regarding the offer of supervision of study on this day. Please do check your emails.

As standard practice at SPA, Google Classroom contains remote learning maps for each subject which may provide support for students at home.

School meals will be provided for all pupils attending the school and a packed lunch will be available for collection by students who receive free school meals and to whom the school is closed. An email has been sent to parents of these students regarding this.

We apologise for any disruption this causes however, our first consideration will always be the safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff and this has been our key consideration in coming to this decision.

We will be in touch again to clarify arrangements on any future strike dates and, in the meantime, ask for your patience and understanding during this time.
