Summer Half Term Update
Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
As we end the first half of the Summer term, I would like to begin by paying tribute to our Year 11 students who, over the first two weeks of their final examinations have made a tremendous effort and served as role models for the rest of the school. When we return, they really will be into their final endeavours before they leave as the class of 2023 and celebrate with their prom.
Over this half term, we have been immensely busy again - please look at our ‘Parklife’ blog to see what has been happening at SPA! You can also find information regarding the changes to the school day from September here. We had our end of term celebration assemblies this morning, the presentation for which can be found here. This includes the announcement of our fantastic new Head Students - well done to all who applied and put themselves forward for the role!
As a school, we work actively with our student leaders to discuss and consider issues raised from the perspective of the students. Where we have acted on aspects, we have fed back to students in a similar manner to that which we have done with you at home. Through these discussions and due to a likely increase in temperatures, we have made some adaptations to the uniform policy, until the Summer Holidays only. In order to make this clear for all, Mr Merry has created a helpful guide as below. Please remind students however, that all hoodies and tracksuit tops are not school uniform and must be removed before entering the school site.
I hope you all enjoy the break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 5th June.
Best wishes,
David Day
Headteacher
